Welcome to WanLyzer! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WanLyzer website and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by WanLyzer ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

WanLyzer provides a tool designed to help users analyze Microsoft audit logs. Key features include:

  • Uploading Microsoft audit log files (in .csv format).
  • Processing and visualizing log data in a user-friendly format.
  • Filtering and searching log data.
  • Tools to assist in investigating user activity patterns and potential security incidents based on location and session data derived from the logs.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information (currently, your email address).
  • Keep your password confidential and secure.
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for the audit log data you upload ("Uploaded Content"). You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process this data using the Service and that your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations (including data privacy laws).
  • You are responsible for understanding any limitations of the source data you obtain from Microsoft (e.g., potential 50,000 event export limits) and how that might affect the analysis provided by WanLyzer. It is recommended to narrow down generated audit logs using specific filters where possible before uploading.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or process any data that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service or its servers/networks.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or our computer systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations or these Terms.

5. Fees and Payment

  • Tiers: WanLyzer offers a free tier with usage limits and a paid subscription tier ("Pro Plan") with higher limits, as described on our website or within the Service. Current limits for your tier are displayed on your dashboard.
  • Payments: Payments for the Pro Plan are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms and privacy policy. You must provide valid payment information through Stripe.
  • Subscriptions: Pro Plan subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or yearly) as selected during checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro Plan subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible via the "Manage Billing & Subscription" link on your dashboard). Cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period. No refunds or credits will be provided for partial subscription periods.
  • Fee Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription fees. We will provide you with reasonable prior notice of any fee changes.

6. Intellectual Property

  • WanLyzer: We own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including its design, code, logos, and related documentation.
  • Your Data: You retain ownership of your Uploaded Content. By uploading data, you grant WanLyzer a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license solely to process, store (as processed logs), analyze, and display your data as necessary to provide the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete the corresponding file record from the Service.

7. Termination

  • By You: You may request termination of your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Subscription cancellations are handled via the Stripe Customer Portal.
  • By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for reasons including, but not limited to:
    • Violation of these Terms.
    • Non-payment of subscription fees (for Pro Plan users).
    • Extended periods of inactivity (for free accounts, at our discretion).
    • Suspected illegal or malicious activity.
    • Discontinuation of the Service (we will attempt to provide reasonable notice if feasible).

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, and we may delete your account and associated processed log data according to our data retention practices.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WANLYZER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WANLYZER AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (a) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (b) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (c) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (d) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL WANLYZER'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100) OR THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO WANLYZER FOR THE USE OF THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within Canada to resolve any dispute or claim arising from these Terms or the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
